Due to the timing, the mail pickup had occurred and the item could not be retrieved. The initial conversation with the member triggered the refund by check, and it was placed in the mail.
Unfortunately, due to the payoff and account closing happening on the same day, the loan was not listed on a maintenance report that would automatically expire the recurring external transfer. The loan payment of $500 was a recurring transfer from another financial institution to Clearview this was set up within the members online banking external transfer feature. Terrible company, terrible business practices, do not do business with them. I couldn't tell them don't worry, I'll send you a check in a week. If I would walk into a branch and take $500, I would be arrested. When asked to speak with a manager, I was told someone would call me back and no one has. They stole $500 from my bank account, without my authorization and then would not give it back rhe way way they took it. They refused to put it back in my account. They told me I could either wait for a check in the mail or drive back out to the branch to get my money back. When I called they told me my account was closed but for some reason the withdrawl still happened. A month later $500 was deducted from my account by them. Got a statement from them saying it was paid off and the title for the car. I was told I was completely done with them. I had to drive to a branch to pay off the loan and when I was there I closed the account. I had a car loan with them that I paid off.
